NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is opening a waitlist for a new elderly housing project in Old Hickory on Thursday afternoon.

MDHA is accepting online-only applications for its elderly project-based voucher location until Sept. 26, 2024. The waitlist may remain open beyond Sept. 26 based on the number of applicants.

“In order to qualify for elderly housing, the head of household or spouse must be at least 62 years old,” MDHA explained. “This PBV waiting list is NOT on a first-come, first-served basis, so as long as you apply during the waiting list period, you have a chance of being placed near the top of the waiting list.”

The project, Robinson Flats, is located at 1205 Robinson Road in Old Hickory. The property features one- and two-bedroom apartments. MDHA said that in order to qualify for elderly housing, applicants must be 62 years old or older and have an adjusted income at or below 50% of the area median income.

Starting at noon, Sept. 19, applications can be submitted here.
