LEBANON Tenn. (WSMV) - Commuters heading into Nashville were forced to find alternate routes after a tractor-trailer crashed on the interstate Saturday morning.

The Lebanon Police Department sent units to mile marker 239 on I-40 West, near the Highway 70 exit ramp, after a semi crashed and came to rest on its side.

Lebanon PD said the driver was injured in the crash but is expected to be fine.

Drivers stuck behind the crash are being diverted off the interstate at Sparta Pike.

There is no timetable for the westbound lanes to fully reopen, but one lane opened for traffic around 10:35 a.m. after the semi was pulled upright and the trailer could begin the offloading process.

Commuters on I-40 West are advised to still expect delays.
