MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A tractor-trailer caught fire on the interstate, forcing a temporary closure in Robertson County overnight.

According to Smokey Barn News, the call for a semi on fire came in just after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tennessee Department of Transportation reported the incident around 12:30 a.m. near mile marker 103 on I-65 South.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Goodlettsville Fire Department, the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department, and the Metro Nashville Police Department, Smokey Barn reports. The large transport vehicle came to rest on the shoulder south of Bethel Road, according to TDOT.

All southbound lanes were shut down for several hours to allow firefighters room to put out the flames and for debris to be removed from the roadway. As of 4 a.m., the southbound right lane and the shoulder remained closed at mile marker 103.

All southbound lanes were reopened by 6 a.m.

No injuries to the driver or emergency personnel were reported, according to Smokey Barn.
