A rather gloomy sky on this Thursday as a front is passing through Middle Tennessee.
Only a .22" of rain today in Nashville. A little more fell closer to the Tennessee River and in parts of southern Kentucky. Fortunately, not enough to cause flooding issues.
Expect a few showers and falling temperatures into the evening. The high today reached 71°, that was at 1:33 this morning. Temperatures dropped into the 60s by afternoon. You'll really feel that cool air this tomorrow.
Just a few lingering showers are expected on Friday but it will be much cooler with a high in the mid 50s, 10° below the average. Here's the latest Futurecast depiction of the rain moving out.
The weekend looks great and very fall-like. It'll be a great weekend to get out and look for some fall foliage. Plan for sunshine and a few clouds both days this weekend with highs topping out in the 60s. A few showers are possible late Sunday night.
Rain and thunderstorms will return for the beginning of next week with high near 70.
Oh, and another reminder this is time change weekend. Back to standard time. Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. You may feel like you have an extra hour sleep. I am dreading it being dark even earlier.
I'll have an update on News4 at 6pm, 6:30pm and 10pm.
