Very cold night followed by a nice warm up this week. Today's high in Nashville reached 45°, a nice warm up after a cold weekend with some wintry precipitation. Some areas along the Cumberland Plateau received 1"-2" of snow
The clouds cleared from some today. There were enough clouds to make a beautiful sunset.
Tonight, the sky continues to clear allowing for extremely cold overnight lows in the lower 20s and some teens.
Expect a bright sky tomorrow as high pressure builds in. It will be a little warmer thanks to a southerly wind. Highs will rebound back into the upper 40s.
Wednesday will be even warmer in the low 50s and a variably cloudy sky. The clouds are a tell-tell sign of rain on the way.
Showers will return Thursday, but with highs in the mid 50s, so no snow. The chance of rain increases Friday. A few spotty showers expected Saturday. Highs will be in the low 50s. The average high for this time of year is in the low 50s. Here's the latest Futurecast depiction.
Sunday and Monday will be dry, highs still near 50 degrees. The weekend will be much better to be outside as compared to this past weekend.
I'll have an update on News4 at 10pm.
