Public meeting focused on recent violence in Nashville

Volunteer State Community College announced Friday its school president Dr. Orinthia T. Montague passed away unexpectedly.

The man allegedly confronted a female victim, telling her in Spanish, “I want to talk to you,” police said.

The USDA and Education Department revealed TSU was owed $2.1 billion in funding from the state.

The gun was found in the waistband of a 17-year-old student.

Reports suggest this office would oversee gun violence prevention legislation and make efforts between advocacy groups, the White House and Congress on issues such as background checks, assault rifles and safe storage.
