Shelby Sansone joined WSMV in July 2019 as a morning reporter. She is thrilled to work in Nashville, claiming she wanted to make it home “before the boom”.

Shelby grew up in Collierville, TN and fell in love with reporting while on a field trip with her elementary school. She first appeared on television for her high school morning show. Then, took her love for journalism to the University of Mississippi.

She pursued a broadcast journalism degree at Ole Miss and immersed herself into the Student Media Center. She also worked at the university's communications department for a year. During her time in Mississippi, Shelby worked at WTVA in Tupelo, MS as a weekend reporter.

Shelby worked for FOX13 in Memphis for three years, where she had the opportunity to report and immerse herself into her hometown.

She enjoys trying new workout classes, restaurants, and concert venues around town. Shelby is a dog mom to Georgia. You can see them at dog parks throughout the city.
