Metro police are investigating two separate shootings that happened late Tuesday night.

The first shooting happened around 9 p.m. at Riverchase apartments on Joseph Avenue in east Nashville.

Officers responding to the call found two victims that were shot in the leg.

They were treated and transported to Vanderbilt with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators said the shooter is a black man in his early to mid-20s about 6 feet tall.

About an hour after that, fire crews and medics responded to a nearby Exxon station on Shelby Avenue to treat another shooting victim.
