Woman killed outside liquor store; Suspect remains at large

Metro police are searching for a suspected gunman accused of shooting and killing a woman in the parking lot of a liquor store Friday night.

The shooting happened at 8:45 p.m. at 3049 Dickerson Pike.

According to police, there was an altercation before gunfire erupted in the parking lot.

The victim, 32-year-old Jacqueline Johnson, was struck in the neck. She was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where she later died.

The suspected gunman appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s. He is a black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build.

He fled in a late model black 4-door sedan.
