(Meredith) -- Ever wondered how well your sweet-mannered dog could guard your house?

Well, if your dog is anything like Max the corgi, you might be better off getting a home alarm system.

PeopleTV's resident dog Max was put to the test as a guard dog, complete with his own security guard t-shirt.

As a fun test, PeopleTV wanted to see how Max would do when pitted against strangers. In the video, actors in dark clothes are shown "breaking in" to the area.

Max, however, adorably failed at "guarding" anything. He fell for the bones and treats that the "thieves" gave him, and even rolled over on his back for belly rubs.

Amid all the coronavirus news, this is the video we need right now.

It's alright Max, not everyone is cut out for the job!
