(KUTV/CNN/Meredith) – One Utah couple’s wedding reception was canceled due to the coronavirus social distancing guidelines, but that didn’t stop them from taking some memorable wedding photos.

Abbey Dunford and Taylor Cusick’s wedding was scheduled for April 9 with a reception with more than 600 guests. But because President Donald Trump issued guidelines of no more than 10 people at any gathering, the couple had to cancel their wedding as planned.

There will be no wedding reception, but the couple will still share their vows in a wedding ceremony attended by only their parents. They also went through with their photographer, who was scheduled to take photos of them days before the wedding, but decided to take some of the photos wearing masks.

Dunford said her husband-to-be had the idea to take photos with the masks.

“He was like, ‘We should take a picture with the masks so we can remember this time because it’s been totally crazy for us,” she said.

The couple hopes the memorable photos will be something their future children will want to hear about.

“We’ll keep the pictures close to our heart. They’re something we can look at and remember what we sacrificed so people could stay healthy,” Dunford said.

Photographer Duke Moose said the photos are a testament to true love.

“I like to think they represent that there’s still beauty and love in these times of uncertainty… it’s almost a piece of history,” Moose said.
