DAVIE, Fla. (WPLG/CNN) -- An argument over a parking spot at a Florida Walmart turned violent, and the altercation was caught on video.
Joann Pedro said she had been waiting for a parking spot outside the store in Davie on Tuesday. Before she could pull in, a silver Mercedes-Benz cut her off and sped into the spot.
"I put down my window, and I said, 'I've been waiting here for six or seven minutes. Are you guys really going to take the parking space?'"
Pedro said she noticed another spot nearby and decided to park there instead. Moments later, she said someone threw a bottle at her car. She called 911 and started walking toward the Mercedes.
"I tried to get the license plate so I could give it to the dispatcher I was speaking to, and they just attacked me," said Pedro.
Witnesses said they saw Pedro and the occupants of the Mercedes arguing back and forth.
Video then shows Pedro on the ground and another woman repeatedly punching her as other shoppers try to stop the assault.
“Her phone and her purse were taken, and you can see at the end of the video that she was even dragged by the car when she was trying to get her purse back,” said Davie Police Lt. Mark Leone.
The occupants of the Mercedes then drove off with Pedro's belongings, according to authorities.
Police said the people inside the car were a mother and her two adult children -- a man and woman in their 20s.
The group removed the license plate from the back of the Mercedes before taking off, according to police.
Davie police are hoping someone can help track down the suspects. Anyone with information can call Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-8477.
