Metro Police confirm a teen was arrested after a Green Hills salon employee was assaulted, robbed on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old woman was taking out the trash at Salon YaYa on Crestmoor Road just before 8:30 p.m.when two male, black teens approached her with guns and demanded that she give them her purse.

The victim refused, and the man struck her in the face with his handgun.

The suspect was seen leaving the area in a newer model Gold Ford Taurus with at least one other occupant in the vehicle.

Police say one of the suspects, 16-year-old Isaiah Lewis, was apprehended at 3 a.m. on Thursday in Madison.

He was located in a stolen Honda Accord with four other teens on Old Hickory Boulevard. When they saw police, the teens fled on foot in different directions. Officers gave chase and set up command, but only Lewis was caught.

Lewis was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery in the incident.

He is also accused of taking part two other robberies in East Nashville on Wednesday night.

Police say a pistol was discovered in the stolen Honda and is being processed as potential evidence in other crimes.

The incident happened just two hours after a man was shot outside the Green Hills Library less than a mile away.

Police confirmed later these incidents were not related. In fact, they suspect two separate groups of teens are responsible for dozens of violent crimes across Nashville in the last few weeks.
