NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - Summer camps comes in all shapes and sizes. It’s not just hiking, swimming and horseback riding anymore.

With orange earplugs in place and a rock and roll swagger vibe, Nashville’s School of Rock is rolling with 10 year olds with little fingers making big sounds.

“The louder the better. The heavier knock it out.”

It’s the first day of summer camp, and these kids aren’t amateurs. They can play and have all the moves.

“It does get hard at some point, but the more you practice, the better you get.”

Gordon Aden plays the drums loud and proud. Mom is his biggest fan.

“I usually practice in the basement and she shuts the door,” said Aden.

School of Rock does weekly camps through the summer. Click for information on upcoming camps.

“My favorite band either Guns and Roses, Metallica, Imagine Dragons or AC-DC,” said Aden.
