NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - On Friday's Today show, a friendly face from News 4, Nashville was part of a push to get people out taking a walk. 

In the 8 a.m. hour, our own Tracy Kornet was one of those joining Al Roker to Take a Walk TODAY. NBC stations from around the country joined with  Roker taking a stroll around the favorite parts of their city.

“Hi It’s Tracy Kornet from News 4 and Good morning from Nashville! The bright lights of Broadway have got me energized to TAKE A WALK WITH Al and the TODAY show!”

Of course, Kornet strolled down Broadway to highlight just one part of town that makes Nashville so fun. studies show that walking is one of the best forms of exercise for physical and mental health.

Studies show that walking is one of the best forms of exercise for physical and mental health, and is great for a variety of age groups and fitness levels. Al and Tracy want to encourage people to find a way to get a walk into their daily routine.

And if you’re worried about the chilly spring temperatures, physicians with Harvard say walking in cooler temperatures can have its own benefits, like burning more fat and warding off seasonal affective disorder.

On Friday, our Tracy Kornet is putting on her walking shoes and joining Al Roker to Take a Walk TODAY!
