Police say they have arrested two men wanted in connection with a weekend murder in Columbia.

According to officials, officers responded to reported gunfire at the River Villa Apartments on Riverside Drive just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police found Derrick Brandon Wells, 47, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Maury Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Investigators have charged Clifton Donnell Craig and Kavaris Javon Booker with first-degree murder.

The TBI added Craig to its Top 10 Most Wanted list on Monday. The 30-year-old was taken into custody at a home in Chattanooga on Tuesday morning.

Booker, 26, turned himself into the Columbia Police Department on Monday night.

Agents with the FBI, the U.S. Marshal's Office, the ATF, the TBI, the Chattanooga Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office all assisted with the case.

Although both suspects have been arrested, the investigation into the murder is ongoing. Investigators are still working to contact anyone with direct knowledge of the homicide or of the events leading up to the murder.
