he man at the center of a manhunt in Wilson County on Wednesday after a domestic incident died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Wilson County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office sent a tweet around 9:30 p.m. that Thomas East Adams had shot himself after hours of negotiations with law enforcement officers.
Thomas Adams was wanted after an afternoon incident in which he allegedly Jessica Adams, his wife, in the abdomen during a domestic incident at a home on Gwin Place.
The Sheriff's Office said Jessica Adams had also died from her injuries.
The search for Thomas Adams centered near the home at the intersection of Quarry Road in an unincorporated portion of Wilson County between Mount Juliet and Lebanon.
***UPDATE***The search for Mr. Adams is now over. After hours of negotiations with Mr. Adams, he suffered a self-inflicted gun shot and was discovered deceased.
