Suspect arrested for November 2016 fatal shooting

Police have arrested a suspect in the November 2016 fatal shooting at the Southwood Park Apartment, according to a Metro Police news release.

Police said Kendre Shields, 21, was indicted on charges of first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery in connection with the death of Omar Dante Lindsey, 30 on Nov. 4, 2016.

Lindsey was fatally shot while behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Impala.

Police said the motive is connected to a drug-related robbery.

Shields’ bond on the murder/robbery indictment is set at $150,000.
