Sumner County Schools

SUMNER COUNTY, TN (WSMV) - Sumner County Schools has announced students in middle and high school, along with all staff will be required to wear masks/face coverings while at school.

The announcement comes a day after Mayor Anthony Holt announced he'd be extending the county's mask mandate through August 29 at 11:59 p.m. The school district says schools are subject to all local and state requirements regarding the use of masks.

While elementary students are not required to wear masks/face coverings while at school, the school district says they are strongly encouraged to do so.
