NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - News4 was a proud sponsor of the first Popped! fundraiser on Tuesday night.

The event featured four prominent Nashville chefs who each created a course to benefit Family Voices of Tennessee.

The organization helps 1-in-5 children in Tennessee who have some kind of need, whether it’s an immediate healthcare issue or a chronic illness.

They connect families with the help they need, and even other families who have been through it.

“It’s a whole lot of families, and people don’t realize that, and it’s anywhere from families that their child has to spend time in the NICU or maybe their diagnosed with an intellectual disability or maybe they have a chronic illness such as Chron’s disease, or even asthma,” said Kara Adams, Director of Family Voices of Tennessee.

The organization has helped more than 100,000 Tennessee families since it started in 1992.

News4’s Joe Dubin and Lauren Lowrey emceed the event.
