Police looking for 4 teens who carjacked, shot man in Green Hills

Police are working to find the four teens who carjacked and shot a man outside a shopping center in Green Hills.

The 50-year-old victim told police he was attacked while he was putting paperwork in his car trunk after leaving the FedEx on Hillsboro Pike around 8:40 p.m. Monday.

He said the men held him at gunpoint as they demanded him to give them his car.

The victim tried to run away and threw his car keys away from the suspects.

He told police the gunman cursed at him for doing this and fired a shot in his direction, which hit him in the leg. The suspects then drove off in the victim's vehicle.

The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for non-critical injuries. Police later found his vehicle on Arrington Street in East Nashville.

Police have not yet been able to identify the suspects, who are all believed to be 16 or 17 years old.

Anyone with information about the carjacking or shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Tipsters can remain anonymous and can qualify for a cash reward.
