Police are still looking for the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian in Madison on Wednesday night.

The woman was struck while she was crossing Myatt Drive near Spring Branch Road at 8:30 p.m. She died at the scene.

After the crash, investigators found the minivan they believe was involved in the crash in the 2100 block of North Gallatin Pike.

No one was inside the green 2002 Chevrolet Venture, which sustained damage from hitting the pedestrian. The van has been taken to the MNPD Crime Laboratory for processing.

The woman was also hit by a 2015 Toyota Camry. The driver stayed at the scene. At this time, police said they do not believe they will press charges against this driver.

Officials are still working to identify the victim, who is a white female possibly in her 40s. She was not carrying any type of identification with her when she was struck.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run or the driver is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
