Police are investigating two robberies that happened along Old Hickory Boulevard in west Nashville overnight.

The first robbery happened just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kwik Sack at 3838 Old Hickory Blvd. in the Bells Bend area.

The suspect reportedly pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded all the money in the register. The clerk complied and handed over the cash. No one was injured in the incident.

According to police, the gunman was in his late teens or early 20s and left in a white sedan.

The second robbery happened just after midnight at the Shell store at 5800 Old Hickory Blvd. near the Beaman Nature Center.

The robber pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. The clerk handed over the cash. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect reportedly had part of his face covered and left in a white Honda, possibly an Accord.

Police have not confirmed if the two robberies are connected.
