ASHLAND CITY, TN (WSMV) - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Cheatham County.
Jeremy Tryon, 39, was found by police inside a mobile home in the 1000 block of Bryant Road in Ashland City just after 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Three people, including the victim, were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Police said they believe Tryon and the others met online and that Tryon invited the suspect into his home.
The suspects, William Jeffery Powell and Ellen Elizabeth Leahy are facing drug possession charges. Powell is also facing a second degree murder charge.
Powell, who is suspected of shooting Tryon, is the one who called police. Officials said Leahy did not have a passport or any type of identification.
Investigators said a glass smoking pipe with burnt residue was found in the home. An affidavit states that the three were drinking and using drugs, when they became intoxicated and an argument ensued between Leahy and Powell.
Authorities said they do not believe anyone else was involved and that there is no danger to the public.
Police said Tryon was shot multiple times. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
