Car Crash - Generic

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday on Old Hickory Blvd. at the I-40 East entrance ramp.

Police say 37-year-old Darrell Clark of Pegram, Tennessee, was riding his 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Old Hickory Blvd. at a high rate of speed. He then hit the passenger side of a northbound Honda minivan that was turning left, across Old Hickory's Blvd's southbound lanes to get on the I-40 East entrance ramp.

Clark, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The driver of the minivan, identified as 63-year-old Robert Rucker of Nashville, sustained minor injuries.

The preliminary contributing factors to the crash appear to be Rucker failing to yield the right of way and Clark traveling at a high rate of speed. is now with you on the go!
