A 25-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Lebanon on Saturday morning.

Wilson County officials say deputies were dispatched to a home on Trousdale Ferry Pike at 9:20 a.m. after reports of a "stabbing in progress." When they arrived to the scene, the suspect fled the scene.

The victim, 25-year-old Ariel Warden, was found inside the home with multiple stab wounds to her neck and arms. Deputies administered aid until paramedics arrived to take her to a hospital.

Warden was originally routed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but was taken to Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville when her condition worsened. She was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital.

The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Christopher Clark, of Monterey, Tennessee.

He was pursued and apprehended by deputies on Jennings Creek Bridge, just east of the residence. Clark was then transported to the Wilson County Jail and charged with first degree murder, child endangerment, and aggravated assault.

The fatal stabbing remains under investigation.
