Gas Leak in Lascassas

LASCASSAS, TN (WSMV) - Crews doing road work on SR 96 West in Rutherford County struck a gas line Thursday afternoon, prompting nearby evacuations. 

A daycare, and residents of three homes had to be evacuated while the gas company worked to stop the leak. Officials say the line was repaired by 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. 

Officials say the line that was struck was unmarked.
