East Nashville elementary school evacuated after small fire

An East Nashville elementary school was evacuated due to a small fire on Friday morning.

School officials said the fire at Kirkpatrick Elementary Enhanced Option School was put out quickly.

The Nashville Fire Department said some toilet paper in one of the bathrooms caught fire. The fire department would not elaborate on how the fire started.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the small blaze.

Students were briefly taken to the Kirkpatrick Community Center but have since been able to return to their classrooms.
