A driver is facing charges after a wreck in Lawrenceburg left two people dead Saturday night.

Criminal charges are pending for 33-year-old Casey Hillhouse, of Lawrenceburg.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Hillhouse was driving southbound on Wesley Chapel Road in a GMC Sierra when the crash occurred.

He reportedly failed to give the right of way to a Hyundai going eastbound on Highway 64, causing the cars to collide and leave the roadway.

Hillhouse’s car hit a fence and came to rest facing southbound, while the Hyundai ended up facing northwest.

Two passengers in the Hyundai, 52-year-old Cynthia Williams and 42-year-old LaDonna Cruz, were both killed. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the THP. The driver of that car was injured, but survived.

Hillhouse was also injured, along with a six-year-old who was in the car with him.
