CHARLOTTE, Tenn. (WSMV) -- A Dickson County Grand Jury returned a nine-count indictment against the parents of 5-year-old Joe Clyde Daniels this week.

A special called session of the grand jury met on Thursday and return the indictments against Joseph and Krystal Daniels.

The Daniels appeared in court on Monday and a Dickson County judge found there was enough evidence to send the case to the grand jury.

Joseph Daniels was indicted on counts of first degree murder, child abuse and aggravated child abuse, child neglect, filing a false report and tampering or fabricating evidence.

Krystal Daniels was indicted on counts of aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect, accessory after the fact, child neglect and filing a false report.

Joe Clyde Daniel was reported missing on April 4 from their Garner Creek Road home in the Tennessee City community. A massive search was conducted for Joe Clyde, but his body still has not been found.

After several days of searching, Joseph Daniels admitted to killing his son and dumping his body, but he did not remember where.
