A familiar summer spot for Clarksville families is getting a facelift.

Dozens of children got to test out the freshly renovated playground at Bel-Aire Park on Thursday morning.

The makeover included new equipment that is accessible to children of all abilities.

“Parks and recreation is all about fair play and being accessible to everybody,” said Jennifer LeTourneau, Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director. “We believe that everybody deserves a park and everybody deserves a playground. We just want to make sure that kids are able to get out and enjoy the outdoors.”

The new features include ramps and lower curbs.
