App helps Midstate parents track children on school buses

Parents in Williamson County have a new tool that allows them to track their students as they ride to and from school on the bus.

The Safe Stop app is new to the county this year and relies on GPS data to operate. The app will send you push notifications for time changes over 15 minutes and allows users to track the bus in real time.

The app is also secure. You have to have the child's bus stop and bus number to be able to access the location of their bus. WEB EXTRA: Watch how the app works in real time The school district is encouraging children to get to their bus stop at least five minutes earlier than the ETA on the app just to be safe.
