NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A teenage boy is facing charges after allegedly bringing a gun to school two straight days, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Police said a 16-year-old Antioch High School student was arrested Wednesday morning after school resource officers and school administrators received information from social media he had a gun within the school on Tuesday.

The boy was found as he arrived at school and was allegedly in possession of a loaded handgun in his pants.

“The gun was not reported stolen, and the student reported it did not belong to him,” MNPD said.

He’s charged in juvenile court with handgun possession and carrying a gun on school property.
