NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been charged in the murder of a 19-year-old at a Hermitage apartment complex in November 2023, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Police said 27-year-old Nakelvious Featherston, a felon, is charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 19 fatal shooting of Anthony Barksdale. The shooting occurred at an apartment complex on Oakwell Farms Lane in Hermitage.

Barksdale arrived at the apartment building when a gunman suddenly appeared and opened fire, police said. He was chased by the gunman to the front door of an apartment and continued to be shot at.
