NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Titans trade Kevin Byard, one of their foundational pieces on the field and in the locker room, to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for safety Terrell Edmunds, as well as future 5th and 6th round draft picks, according to reports.

Byard is a two-time All-Pro with 27 career interceptions in his eight-year career in Nashville.

The former Middle Tennessee Blue Raider re-worked his deal with the Titans this season in a salary cap maneuver.

But, the team is off to a 2-4 start and the NFL’s trade deadline is Oct. 31st.

This is the second trade the Titans have made with the Eagles for an elite player. Prior to the 2022 NFL Draft, Tennessee traded receiver AJ Brown to Philadelphia.
