Woman Who Killed 2 Officers Gets Appeal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A woman convicted of killing two Wilson County law enforcement officers in a high-speed chase will be allowed to appeal her case.

A court originally dismissed Fallon Tallent’s claim that she had ineffective counsel at her trial, but the decision was reversed on Monday.

Tallent is serving two consecutive life sentences for first-degree murder.

She was fleeing police when she crashed into and killed Wilson County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Jon Musice and Mount Juliet Police Sgt. Jerry Mundy in 2003.
