Ordinance Would Regulate Where Residents Can Park

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- City leaders in Franklin said they want to ban parking in front yards.Officials are working on an ordinance that would regulate where residents can park.Those in favor of an ordinance said yards that look like parking lots make neighborhoods look bad and lower property values.Those against the ordinance said some people just don't have anywhere else to park.
Aldermen may discuss the issue at their May 27 meeting.A similar ordinance is already in place in Murfreesboro.
