The Sumner County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday issued a statewide alert for 26-year-old Bobby Ramer and 27-year-old David Owens Jr., who are both from Springfield.

According to the department, the two men are responsible for a violent attack on Friday in Tony Singleton’s Gallatin home. Singleton’s door was unlocked, and he said the two men took advantage.

"I've never locked my door before. I’ve lived here a long time and never had any problems," he said. "Both of them jumped on me and got me in the corner and hit me with a gun over and over again. I just gave up, and they hog-tied me and robbed my whole house."

Officials said the two men were already running from police in Robertson County on parole violation and theft charges. Officials said the men should be considered armed and dangerous.

The two men also have violent histories: Ramer was paroled in 2006 for attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault; Owens has served time for several burglary charges, including aggravated burglary.

"Oh yeah, I want them to be caught, and I want them to go to prison again. They've already been in prison, and I guess they’re going to like it there," Singleton said.

Singleton said he had met the pair a couple of times before. Owens was captured in Springfield late Wednesday.
