(WRCB) - Good Wednesday. After a pleasantly cool start, we have another chamber of commerce day ahead. High pressure will settle over the Tennessee Valley, keeping highs in the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies.
Tonight will be cool and pleasant as the low drops to about 62, then we will enjoy one more flawless day with sunshine, and a high of 85.
Friday will be nice for the first half of the day, at least. Look for partly cloudy skies and a Friday high of 83. Late in the day, however, a trough of low pressure will push into the southeast, and spark scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon into Friday night.
As that trough settles over the region, we may see scattered showers and storms Saturday and Sunday also. Highs both days will stay in the low 80s.
That trough will weaken next week. That will allow us to dry out, and we will see a return of the warm weather. Highs will climb to 88 on Monday. We will reach 90 on Tuesday. That may sound kind of hot right now, but it is the average high for this time of year. We have just been spoiled lately.
