(WRCB) - Good Saturday! Temperatures stay chilly, but at least the weekend starts off dry. Wet weather returns Sunday.
The system that brought us rainy weather Friday stays to our south today. We may see a few glimmers of sunlight this afternoon, but overall skies stay mostly cloudy. Highs won't escape the 40s for most of the Tennessee Valley. Showers come back tonight, especially after midnight, with lows around 40. If travel plans take you to the Nashville metro area tonight, you may want to arrive as early in the evening as possible. After midnight light freezing rain with minor ice accumulation is possible before changing to plain rain. Rain showers continue for us Sunday, so have an umbrella handy. Look for highs in the upper 40s.
Rain sticks around Monday, making for a soggy start to the work/school week. The rain could get heavy at times and localized flooding near creeks and streams is possible. Monday's high rises to around 50. Rain tapers to showers Tuesday before ending late in the day.
Thursday are dry as high pressure rebuilds. Lows cool to the upper 20s
while highs reach the lower 50s. Some showers may redevelop late Friday
into next Saturday.
