Music City Center buys land for possible expansion

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nashville’s Music City Center is expanding.

The Convention Center Authority has voted to buy a nearby lot of land for $3.85 million.

For now the new land will be used for additional parking.

The CEO of the Music City Center said long term they’re interested in a transit center.

We are also learning more about the center’s economic impact.

In June it contributed over $74 million to the city. It hosted 18 events with nearly 83,000 people attending.
