A Brentwood dentist has come up with a way to make you forget he’s sticking metal sticks in your mouth.

Dr. Richard Sullivan, or Dr. Sully, is using virtual reality to transport his patients to a far-off land while they are getting their teeth cleaned.

Patients put on a headset and there’s music along with serene scenes of the beach or lake.

It’s meant to be a non-medical way of calming patients who may have dentist anxiety.

“It takes you somewhere else,” explained Sullivan. “I tested it out. I was getting a filling and I thought this is incredible.”
