NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

News4's chief investigative reporter Jeremy Finley's first novel is now out in bookstores.

"The Darkest Time of Night" is a thriller that tells the story of the disappearance of a U.S. senator's grandson and how the boy's grandmother may be the only one who can find him - but coming forward with what she knows could ruin her husband's political career.

The New York Post has named the book one of its must-read novels of the summer.

"I think what's going to be so much fun about this book is that it's set in Nashville. All of our News4 viewers who so graciously welcome us into their homes everyday, you're going to get a real kick out of that because of all the things you're going to recognize in this book," Finley said.

Finley will be hosting a book signing and event at Parnassus Books at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Click here for more information.
