NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police are investigating after shots were fired at an apartment complex Donelson.

The victim said he saw two men breaking into his girlfriend's car on Lincoya Bay Drive just before 4 a.m. Tuesday.

According to police, the victim confronted the suspects, which is when they ran away.

The man said he later found the suspects hiding underneath a trailer.

That's when police say one of the men crawled out from under the trailer and fired a gunshot at the victim. The men then ran away from the scene.

According to officials, no one was injured in the incident.

Police found a handgun during a search of the area but have not apprehended the two gunmen.

Authorities have not released a specific description of the suspects, who are believed to be teens.
