NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two teens were arrested on aggravated robbery charges after both admitted their involvement in taking a woman's car at gunpoint on Monday afternoon outside an apartment complex at 3417 Lebanon Pike.

Police said Antonio Lewis Jr., 16, and Jason Johns Jr., 17, have been charged.

A description of the victim's Hyundai Elantra was released and a police helicopter spotted the car and directed ground units to 501 Ben Allen Road where Johns, the driver, was taken into custody.

Lewis and a female passenger fled in a black Toyota Camry that has been taken at gunpoint Sunday night outside an apartment complex at 380 Harding Place.

Lewis and the woman bailed from the car near South Fourth Street and Shelby Avenue. Lewis was captured after a brief pursuit. The female passenger, believed to be 17, was not captured.

Police said a handgun was recovered nearby.

During the foot pursuit, Officer Trevin Tolbert was slowly driving into the intersection of South Fourth Street and Shelby Avenue with his emergency equipment activated when a civilian driver accidentally struck the police car. Tolbert and Officer Brenda Navarro, who was a passenger in the patrol car, were treated and released from Skyline Medical Center.
