2 teen car burglars arrested in Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two juveniles are now in custody for stealing cars after a Hendersonville officer caught them in the act. 

Officials say Officer Brewer was patrolling near 1070 West Main Street where he interrupted two burglaries in progress. 

He was able to detain the first juvenile, a 16-year-old black male, at the scene. The teen was charged with two counts of burglary, theft over $10,000 and curfew violation. 

The second suspect was able to flee, taking off in a nearby Nissan Maxima reported stolen in Nashville. That vehicle was located later at 1090 Branch Court where the second teen, a 17-year-old black male, was arrested. 

The second suspect was arrested and charged with felony evading arrest, two counts of burglary, theft over $10,000 and curfew violation. 

Both suspects are now in custody at the Sumner County Jail awaiting a court date.
