NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

For years, its flashing lights have brought in those out late and hungry. Now, downtown favorite Paradise Park is soon to say goodbye.

Proudly the indoor trailer resort of downtown, Paradise Park's outdoor sign keeps it simple: Eat. Drink. Rock.

"This is just an iconic place here on lower Broadway." said downtown tour guide Otis Greene. "I think it's a tradition."

Paradise Park sells big. A large sign of a burger outside declares it as 'Best Burger Ever.' Then, there are the tots.

"Ten times better with their chili and cheese on top," laughed pedal tavern bartender Rachel Hunley.
"They're heavenly," added Greene. "They're heavenly."

With a band playing in the open window Thursday, people snapped shots of Paradise Park on their phone. After eleven years, the place is closing.

"With all the changes going on, it's just heart-breaking sometimes," said Greene.

"I hate to see something that's been here so long leave," added Hunley. "I was shocked."

Next year, Strategic Hospitality is transforming the entire building into something else, though they haven't said what it'll be.

For longtimers, that's just the beat of Nashville now, a place always moving, constantly changing. The names of country music titans have sprung up on new bars downtown.

"I've seen so many things change so quickly, it's just another one biting the dust," said Greene. "We're losing our culture. It's just like Music Row. Music Row's changed a lot."

With a little of its Nashville history shown in pictures on the walls, some said they're just happy they have one more month to take this place in and order some tots while they're at it.

"Enjoy Nashville while you can cause it's changing quickly," said Greene.
