MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -

A woman was found hiding in a wall after barricading herself inside a home for more than six hours on Thursday.

Police were called to Escalade Drive on Thursday. They said a woman was stalking people with a knife.

She went into her home and refused to come out.

Police eventually went in after she didn’t respond for several hours. They found her wedged between a wall.

“It is believed she got into the way by going in the attic access, going into the attic and then just getting herself down in between the bedroom wall and the exterior wall of the house,” said Mount Juliet Police Capt. Tyler Chandler.

An officer fell through the ceiling trying to get the woman out. He wasn’t seriously injured.
