Police: Suspect arrested in deadly drug-related shooting in Clarksville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police have arrested the suspect in a deadly shooting that happened at a student apartment complex in Clarksville.

According to investigators, the shooting happened during a drug deal around 10 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, 30-year-old James Wells, was shot in the back at The Verge apartments on Nolen Road. According to police, Wells later died at the hospital from his injuries.

Shundarion Taylor, 22, was arrested around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Taylor is charged with criminal homicide.

Police said they found the gun used during the shooting at Taylor's home.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said they believe two other people were involved in the homicide.
