Addiction Campuses honors local law enforcement

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Treatment specialists at Addiction Campuses work around the clock to help people addicted to drugs.

They'll be the first to tell you that they're not alone in the fight against the deadly drug crisis. On Thursday, the treatment facility honored first responders, judges, and attorneys that are also on the front lines of the epidemic.

Tricia Benitez, a treatment specialist at Addiction Campuses, said "I want to try and be a resource for [addicts] so we can give help instead of handcuffs."

"We're here to show appreciation to our judicial system," Benitez said.
