Police arrested two suspects after a pursuit involving a stolen pickup truck on Interstate 40 on Thursday.

Officers first saw the Ford F250 on I-40 West near Exit 286 around 4:30 p.m.

After officers tried stopping the driver, he allegedly started speeding and drove through the media to cross into the eastbound lanes.

The pursuit went onto Highway 111 and then South Jefferson Avenue, which is where the suspect lost control and overturned.

The suspected driver, Nicholas Kaden Geesling, is charged with resisting arrest, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment, evading arrest, theft of property and driving under the influence.

Miles Brent Cumby, who was a passenger, was charged with public intoxication and theft of property.

Another passenger was taken to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for non-critical injuries. This person was not charged.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol assisted with the investigation.
